The European Commission, in particular, the Directorate General for Justice, Freedom and Security is organizing a contest on "EU citizenship".
The goal is to create an individual page of a comic with no words that illustrates the concept of citizenship in the EU.
The contest is open to all youth from 16 years residing in one of the 27 EU Member States.
A first selection will be made at and a National Awards ceremony will be held in each Member State, Friday, April 3. Then, the 27 winners will be invited to Brussels from 9 to 11 May to visit the European institutions and the city of Brussels. Meetings will also take place including the European Commissioner Jacques Barrot.
The first three winners will each receive 6000, 4000 and 2000 euros.
